Getting Creative

The construction consisted of modifying and experimenting with basic materials. The result ended up being a durable, semi-permanent cockpit that is wholly unique.

Some of the materials I had on hand, such as wood, steel bracing, screws and bolts. I secured my daughter's "retired" car seat to the heavy sub-frame in a way that allowed for front, back, swivel and height adjustment. Young and old can reach all flight controls in comfort. Naturally, this can be swapped out for any number of seats, I just prefer the cup holder!

No visible wires, monitors, or mess -- I wanted this design to be clean and simple. Every element of the cockpit is detachable for repairs or for relocation.
